Tip to registering with TDA

Ok folks, just a few quick notes about registering with TDA here.

  1. If your email address looks fishy, the account will be deleted. Seriously, it’s not hard to get a gmail or hotmail account. Free and easy to use. Kinda tired of these spammy looking bitches with email addresses from stupid sounding websites.
  2. Post something. The whole idea of allowing users to register is so people can comment on posts. It saves us a lot of spam removal if we know that our users are real people.
  3. As of now, there really isn’t any user only content. It’s all public. Sign up if you’d like to comment on posts and have your thoughts shared on our website.

Thanks. :)

Video stuff

Right, so… No videos yet. I promised to make one in honor of BFF making their kickstarter goal, and obviously haven’t gotten around to that yet.

There will be one. Sometime. Gotta be in a more stable mood to attempt some fun things for that.

Also, randomness, found some cute little vials and jars at Michael’s. We figure we can use them for a “set”. Go go alchemy lab!

Ice cream!

Ok folks, earlier this week I tested out the little ice cream maker my fiance bought a long time ago. Simple vanilla recipe. Turned out decent.

So… Today I’m making a new batch of vanilla.

…with UV Cake mixed in. :) I’ll let you know how that goes.

BFF FTW!

Best Friends Forever made their goal of $75000!!! YES! That means they are able to fund the rest of their movie and production. And, you know, actually pay some of the people who worked on it. So nice of them. :)

Congrats to the BFF team!

Also, as promised, I will try to create some sort of Drunken Alchemist video to post soon. I’ve got Alchemists showing up tonight, so we’ll see what happens. 😀

BFF

So… If you or anyone you know is interested in seeing a movie about some apocalyptic awesomeness, please head on over to Best Friends Forever and pledge. :)

Share with as many people as possible too. I really should have posted this a few weeks ago as they only have 3 days left to attain their goal.

Also, today they have someone willing to match $1 for $1 up to $2500, so pledge as much as you can and that amount will be considered doubled.

Seriously. Do it. If they make their goal, I’ll make a TDA video and posted it here.

RumChata® – Horchata Con Ron

We got to try this stuff out a few weeks ago. Very creamy and yummy. Unfortunately we did not have a lot of things to mix with it, but overall, it is definitely a nice addition. Not something you’d want to drink all night though, as it is pretty sweet. (Especially when combined with Butterscotch Schnapps, which tastes great)

Beer can be good. No really…

Ok, so around here beer is kind of a waste of time. Not many of us are beer drinkers, and if we do drink it, generally we’re a bit picky.

Now, I’ve been through the college “beer stage”. That is to say, all parties attended in college only served super crappy beer and horrible bottom shelf alcohols. The beer always caused instant gutrot, and generally made you sick because you attempted to drink a TON in order to even remotely get a buzz off it. (Bad idea. Quantity vs Quality folks. Seriously, always go for quality…)

The college budget really doesn’t allow for experimenting and branching out into other types of beer. You can only afford the cheap shit, so that’s what you get stuck with. This causes a horrible effect, which ends up one of two ways. Either you continue to drink shitty beer for the rest of your life or you end up hating the taste of beer and never give it another chance after college. If I tried new beers today, I might actually like them. In fact, there are a few out there that I don’t really mind that are still pretty cheap and aren’t watered the fuck down.

However, I still maintain that I’d rather drink other things versus beer. It’s… ok, but not my favorite by far. However, there are times when a beer is just the perfect drink. Last night I happened to head out to a bar for drinks with a friend. We figured we’d get out of the house, grab a beer, and catch up. We also ended up getting some food, seeing as how neither of us had eaten dinner. (See? TDA Rules being followed there. Don’t drink on an empty stomach. 😀 ) Cheap beer really does go with cheeseburgers, onion rings, and fries. You get that wonderful bar greased burger, deep fried goodness, and something cold to wash it down. We even got a pitcher so we could just keep pouring. It was fantastic.

So, for a random night, cheers to cheap beer for aiding in a relaxing evening out.

We need minions!

That’s right. We need minions. If you would like to help out by testing our recipes, writing reviews, or suggesting new drinks for us to try, please sign up on the site. Click Register over on the right side.

Thanks much. :)

Barfoloblue

Ah, the magical wonders of fail.

This little combo sprang up during a dice game. Yes, dice. Basically, line up a few bottles of alcohol. Line up a few mixers. Number each one. Roll two dice and mix.

Barfoloblue is the mutant combo of UV Blue and Butterscotch schnapps. Yeah… Not recommended. Not the worst combo ever, but nothing that needs to be repeated.

Other better combos were:
UV Blue and Strawberry Crush
Private Stock and Butterscotch weren’t too bad. Again, nothing special.

Overall, the dice game proved fun. Definitely need a better lineup of mixers though, as some of those were just weaker alcohols.
