Peach Sea Cucumber of Doom

Tonight we tried out a Peach Pie shot. Ingredients were Peach Schnapps and RumChata. Half and half.

It ended up looking like a sea cucumber that had given up on life. Shriveled, squirmy, and drowning in it’s own tears. That’s the kind of curdled texture that makes you not want to try a shot. Of course, in the interest of alchemy, we still tried it.

The flavor was actually a win. It really does give you the aftertaste of a peach pie. I say aftertaste because we tried to down the shot as fast as possible. Trust me, it’s not the type of thing you want sitting on your tongue for long…

So, Peach Pie attempt #1 turned into a squidgy monster. Definitely not the way to go. We will try this experiment again in some other form sometime.

For now, we need to get over the horror of that creation… We’ll be hiding in the corner with our Private Stock for protection.

Experiment of the day

Several weeks ago I bought some strawberry schnapps. More Boulaine’s, so it was cheap and still damn tasty. The issue, however, is that it is super sweet and almost has a syrup like consistency.

So, today I will be making milkshakes with it. Should be pretty tasty. Just using some plain vanilla ice cream, and will add the schnapps to it.

This won’t happen until later this evening though. Seeing as how it’s only noon right now… Yeah, I can wait.
